Ava Davis (née Patrick Morgan) is an actor, writer, and producer from Atlanta, Georgia. She lives with her partner, her three standard poodles, and Snow Bengal cat. She graduated from the University of Georgia, dabbling in Journalism, Art History, and English before settling on a degree in Comparative Literature with a focus on Film and Art History.
She has studied acting at the Alliance Theater, PushPush Theater, and Pinch ‘n Ouch Theater before finding an artistic and creative home in Drama, Inc. In addition to acting, she has written short films such as Hi, Grandma, and The Decision. She has written and performed with Critical Crop Top, as well as the One-Minute Play Fest.
Ava made her feature film debut as one of the leads in the feature film, The Bitter Better. In addition, she has also appeared in various short films and web series such as 50mm, Vera’s Workplace Sensitivity Training, and Feast, which won Best Regional Short at the Women in Horror Film Festival. She just wrapped on Critical Crop Top's upcoming short, The Parts That Stay, written by Nicole Kemper and directed by Sarah Allison Hodges.
Her short film producing and writing credits include The Decision, Hi, Grandma, The Silent Treatment, 50mm, When One Door Opens, and Feast.
She is excited to produce The Duchess of Grant Park with Brandon Mitchell. The story originally started as a micro short in a Critical Crop Top workshop, which the two then expanded to give more depth to the story and characters. It has been a wonderful journey so far, and she is excited to bring this story to life and to give thanks to the wonderful community of Grant Park.
